The sun is shining on Enequi, who is now announcing a second international collaboration. Enequi Iberica will be a QuiPower partner in Spain, Portugal and Andorra.
Recent changes in the Spanish and Portuguese laws and regulations have simplified the storage and use of self-produced energy for property owners and companies. As a consequence, large investments are expected to be made in solar energy production and energy storage in the next few years.
– The market is quite unexplored so far. Today, electricians themselves are forced to investigate how to get solar panels (PV), batteries and inverters to talk to each other, but only a few of the country’s installers are willing to do the job. Solutions like QuiPower, where the system takes care of itself and communicates between all parts, will simplify the installer’s work considerably, says Julian de la Cuesta, CEO of Enequi Iberica.
Julian de la Cuesta has extensive experience in distribution and market development of electrical components and solutions. He looks forward to strengthening the Spanish market by combining Enequi’s product expertise with his own market experience. The Iberian Peninsula is one of the most promising markets for energy storage solutions worldwide and he believes that QuiPower will come just at the right time and will be a major player in the market as there are few similar solutions. He believes that one of the major competitive advantages is that Enequi constantly invests in product development.
– Enequi often presents new features to the QuiPower system, which I think will make a difference in the long run. The company’s richness of innovation and willingness to be at the forefront will set us apart from many of our competitors with pure pricing strategies, he says.
Patrik Hahne, Business Development Manager at Enequi, has high hopes for the new partnership with Enequi Iberica.
–Spain, Portugal and Andorra are sunny countries with fantastic conditions for both solar energy and energy storage. The price of electricity is high in all countries and at the same time, due to current subsidy rules, it is unprofitable to sell back produced electricity to the electricity grid. With solar panels and energy storage, property owners can store and use their own overproduction of electricity and avoid expensive electricity costs. I believe and hope that we will be able to make a big contribution, he says.
